Global Headquarters Hedgehog Conservation

curve-down

The west European hedgehog is easily recognisable across the UK as the only spiny native mammal and are often found around hedgerows, and thrive in the British countryside.

In the last 13 years the population of hedgehogs in the UK has declined by at least 45%, according to The Mammal Society. This has to lead to hedgehogs becoming a vulnerable species that risk extinction.

To help preserve the species, AESSEAL® has invested in conservation effort, welcoming 25 hedgehogs at the Global Headquarters in Rotherham.

Working alongside a hedgehog hospitable, AESSEAL® has established a safe environment for the hedgehogs. This included broadleaf planting, meadow seeding, feeding stations and much more. All with the purpose of giving the hedgehogs the best possible opportunity to thrive in the Wetlands area.
